Henri Charrière, one of the world's most famous prisoners, would surely have had the time of his life at Papillon Restaurant in The Village, across from the Radisson Resort. Nicknamed Papillon because of the butterfly tattoo on his chest, the Frenchman was the first convict to escape from Devil's Island, something that nobody had ever done before. Charrière's thrilling, gripping autobiography has been the concept behind Papillon Restaurant.

Wow what a special place this is, from the time Tina greets you till the time you say good night just sensational.
The tuna trio is not to be missed outstanding.salt crusted sea bass was a 10, fois gras is wonderful, and the bouillabaisse was from heaven.
Having enjoyed dinner so much we went back to see if it was a fluke or for real, it is for real, service food and a great time was had, our second visit was to be on halloween, Tina remembered our names but forgot where we were staying, she call all the time shares untill she found us and changed our reservation to Friday.
They will go the extra yard for you go and enjoy.

We hebben een super gezellige avond gehad. Het eten was fantastisch en de bediening super. Helemaal goed.
Volgend jaar komen we zeker weer.

Een geweldig restaurant met een kok die liefde heeft voor zijn vak. We hebben er 4 keer gegeten en het was elke keer weer een feestje.

Een echte aanrader!

This is our favorite new restaurant! Ate there twice and loved everything about it - food, service, atmosphere were all great! Hubby had the Bouillabaisse which he let me taste and it was wonderful (great flavor and full of fish.) I had a mixed salad (which was huge with a nice light dressing) and the tuna trio for my entree - both were great! So many things on the menu that we'd like to go back and try. You can sit inside or outside - very nice, relaxing atmosphere with French music in the background. Can't wait to go back again next year!

My wife and I visited Papillon on Tuesday, 10/06, and had an extraordinary meal, with excellent service. We'd seen a couple of photos of Papillon in one of the free magazines that are around the island, and we decided to give it a try. From the beautiful interior design (all the way down to the restrooms) to the perfect service and excellent food, Papillon is a must when in Aruba. My wife had a salmon special which was phenomenal, while I opted for the grouper en papillote, which also was fantastic. Peter, our server, was knowledgeable and kind--the whole experience was among our favorite during our visit. Highly recommended!

wonderful restaurant. most delicious on the island. sea bass baked in salt pot is the most extraordinary dish I've had on the island.

We had the "special" when we visited Papillon and special it was. The service was superb and the atmosphere delightful. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We really wanted to make a second visit but ran out of time.

the food and service here are really a treat. during our holiday we have had dinner here 3 times, and we weren't dissapointed.

we have ordered several meals from the menu and from the specials, and this restaurant really sets itself apart from other restaurants in Aruba (which means a lot)
