Henri Charrière, one of the world's most famous prisoners, would surely have had the time of his life at Papillon Restaurant in The Village, across from the Radisson Resort. Nicknamed Papillon because of the butterfly tattoo on his chest, the Frenchman was the first convict to escape from Devil's Island, something that nobody had ever done before. Charrière's thrilling, gripping autobiography has been the concept behind Papillon Restaurant.

My husband and I happened upon this charming place and both agreed it was the best meal we had in Aruba and have had in the states in a long time.He can't stop talking about the foie gras appetizer and I dream about the tuna. What makes this venue so special is the warm & professional service given by Danielle and the waitstaff, especially Leon. We actually dined at Papillon more than once during our stay and each time was amazing.I would definitely urge everyone to pay this restaurant a visit. You will not be disaapointed.

Our expectations were high and you exceed our expectations! As customers we felt welcomed and appreciated. It was unusual to see such great team work from all of the staff. You will be one of our top Aruba memories!

Very good, ate there on the 19th of January. Food very good, really not a bad thing to say, however, you knew this was comming our waiter forgot my soup. I thought they were going to have a stroke, really no big deal. We went to the bar and got ample free drinks to make up for it. The frog bar is right outside can be a little loud at times. I would go again, without hesitation. Windows we get my vote for now as the number one restaurant in Aruba. Jim and Cathy from New York, NY

Every time i come to Aruba the one resturant i look forward to coming and that never dissapoints is Papillon. The atmosphere is nice and food is great. I would say my favorite thing about the restaurant is the staff working there, who are very nice and helpful with the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant especially with Danielle, who as a hostess makes you feel like your right at home.

Heerlijk gegeten de laatste keer en zelfs een kinderstoel voor ons kleinkindje gekregen ook heerlijk koel water wat elke keer wordt bijgevuld.Gezellige omgeving.

Exquisite! The escargot appetizer is to die for. Wine selection is excellent and every item on the menu we tried took us back to Paris - and at a better price! We loved the food so much the 1st time, we made a 2nd visit during our last night on the island. I'd consider Papillon one of the top 2-3 restaurants in the entire Caribbean! Keep up the GREAT work!

This is our second year eating at Papillon. I don't know if it is the delicious food or the remarkably friendly staff but Papillon is now part of our regular list of restaurants that we visit when in Aruba. You'd be foolish not to eat here while in paradise!

Ate there last nite. Went for the early bird special(5-7PM) $30.00/person. It was excellent from the food to the service. Will go again before end of vacation.Have been to several other restaurants this vacation and last year. This is the place we feel is the best deal! Seating is limited so make reservations.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful dinner at Papillon. I started with the Ceasar salad and the better half had the goat cheese salad . The Ceasar salad was slightly different in that it included boiled egg and bacon along with some fresh sliced parmasean, romaine lettuce and a nice amount of dressing. My wife raved about the goat cheese salad.

One of the specials tonight was Mahi-Mahi over risotto with asparagus. It was served with a light sauce which complemented the fish very nicely.

Definetly on our must revisit list.
