Overpriced, disappointing

Viewed menu on line and decided to make a reservation. Upon arrival found menu to be significantly different. Food was poor and overpriced. Service was friendly but very slow. Disappointing experience. Not what we expected at a Marriott. Won't return.

Seafood Lobster Night

Sep 11, 2016 - posted by
On Saturdays Marriott La Vista Restaurant offers an ayce lobster buffet at $65pp. Price has gone up over the years but it's still worth it because of the excellent service, very good food choices and nice ambiance. The caribbean lobster tails are small and split in half but will seasoned and grilled and you can have as much as you can eat! Along with the tails they also serve prime rib and beef ribs which were very tasty. Foods on the warming trays that you serve yourself included curried grouper, beef tenderloin, mixed veggies, potatoes, bbq pork ribs, chicken marsala, carrots and rice, lobster ravioli. Two types of soups lobster bisque and chicken noodle. Many types of cold salads and seafood crab claws, shrimps, oysters and clams. Breads, pizzas, and sushi. And of course, different delicious desserts. Many, many different and tasty foods to choose from and coffee and tea is included. It is worth every penny and as with many good buffets, one tends to overdo it! Rhyan was our waiter and he was very good.

For shame

May 4, 2015 - posted by
Sunday dinner buffet.....was the worst meal we have had at LaVista
Aruba Marriott in over 15 years of dining there.
The food appeared to be left overs from Sunday brunch and tasted
that way, too. Dessert table was minimal at best....
Service was very poor...had to get our own utensils from
another table.....
You should be ashamed to call yourselves a Marriott restaurant.

Always a terrific bsng for your buck, It does not have the upscale ambiane of Cafe Milanout it is not a ripoff either. It was remodeled e couple of years ago and i always go there with spouse, kids and grandkids. A huge selection of quality, well prepared food awaits you. It is constantly replenished with fresh food. The servers are not uppity(Cafe Milano again) but are unpretentious and quick to meet your needs. An unrushed dinner , with a short break to watch the super sunset, is a must for us on our3 visits a year.
