Faro Blanco Restaurant
Situated atop of the Hudishibana hill right next to Aruba’s most famous landmark the California lighthouse is our hidden gem. The Faro Blanco Restaurant which once was the dwellings of the lighthouse keeper now serves Aruba and it's guests the best in Italian cuisine.

As the only restaurant boasting this unique location, guests can enjoy a truly unspoiled view over Aruba’s west coast untouched nature. The sunset and views over Aruba create a spectacular palette of colors, ideal for taking pictures and creating new and lasting memories.

Aruba's old hospitality

I'll farro is our go-to restaurant for a celebration or just for a feel-good night. We're treated like old friends, very Aruban oldway hospitality, easy rythm, yet on time, great ambience, staff checks but is not in your meal.
Last but not least, good food, delicious wine. Compliments for manager and staff. All that and music to set a good mood!

Aruba's Best

By recommendation, we were encouraged to add The Faro Blanco Restaurant to our "must go to" list while on vacation there. The restaurant sits on top of the Hudishibana Hill next to the famous California Lighthouse where there are beautiful unobstructed views of the West Coast. We were seated quickly, had amazing service, and enjoyed the ambiance of Italy while dining with friends.

Our waiter and food were exceptional! We'll definitely go back!

Very Disappointed

We have come to this restaurant on previous visits to Aruba.and enjoyed it. Tonight was a total disappointment. The food was awful, it had no flavor. The veal was tough and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. The service was fair at best. There was no coordination among the wait staff and it took forever to get the check . The view is spectacular but not worth the ride there are plenty of places to see a beautiful sunset in Aruba. we will not be back

I travel to Aruba every April to use my timeshare weeks. I have had a chance over the years to dine in so many restaurants but Faro Blanco remains my FAVORITE. Do not miss the chance to enjoy their wonderful menue of excellence.

Go for the view and forget about good service

Initially we asked for separate billing. As the waiter took our requests he asked both woman what they wanted. I did not object believing he was being curteous by doing this. Of course when the bill came it was one bill and not separate. I guess you could overlook this error but the service by this waiter was absolutely terrible. The food in my case was good, but for the price you pay not excellent. People go to this location for the view as it sits up high overlooking western shores of Aruba. This will not be on our list upon returning. The view as I said is nice but the service overall for the amount you spend is terrible

Must do if you're in Aruba.

The diner was great, and the service we got from waiter Obet was terrific.
We recommend diner at sunset, the view is amazing!
Although the tour of the lighthouse and a lunch afterwards at the restaurant is also a good combination.
We will surely come back.

Very Special Ambiance w/ Average Food

We went to visit the Lighthouse on our last night in Aruba (😫) and happened upon La Trattoria, which was oddly not even mentioned by our concierge. Yes it is pricey ($35-$45usd entrees) but we felt well worth it, as it has to be the coolest, quaintest and most romantic fine dining restaurant in Aruba. The view is spectacular (for Aruba) and the best on the island, including the awesome Aruban sunset (which we missed) and the night lights of the entire island. Tho we felt under-dressed at first sight of the white table cloth setting we quickly were put at ease by the gracious host who welcomed us warmly and genuinely as he escorted us to our table. The bread is delicious; Sea Bass was very good tho very rich as its smothered in Parmesan cheese; spaghetti was undercooked slightly but Marinara sauce very good if you like a sweet taste. There was a sax player performing live which made the atmosphere pleasant, relaxing and as I've said previously, very romantic. We were on our 2nd honeymoon trip to Aruba and the Trattoria made our last night there quite special indeed...a perfect ending to an awesome vacation! We can't wait to return to Aruba and the La Trattoria! By the way this place would be a wonderful venue for a special occasion such as a wedding or anniversary celebration.

Better than expected

Been to Aruba 6 times and finally broke down and went to el faro banco... Your looking at $16 taxi ride each way from the high rise hotels... It is extremely expensive here.... However, it's the best view on the island, so you pay for it... I had shrimp and asparagus wrapped in prosciutto... It was one of the best meals I've had.... But again, prices not for the faint of heart
